I thought I'd share the step by step process of painting the watercolor vermilion flycatcher with you today. I used a 6" x 8" sheet of beautiful handmade Twinrocker paper.
After scanning it I cut out the sky with Photoshop and loved how it looked without the dark blue background.
Now I'm not so sure which one I like more so I thought I'd ask you guys. With or without the blue sky?

My favorite tree is in full bloom right now and I can't stop smiling. Our new town of Queretaro is full of them! I love that this particular tree grew under one of the arches and wraps around the top the old aqueduct (built in the 1730s).
